The album is part of a creative research project by Rebecca Collins and Johanna Linsley – read and listen more here. The event forms part of ‘The Sonic Study Series: Act I Sonic Practice’ and is a pop-up event for the Festival of Creative Learning 2020 at the University of Edinburgh.

Many thanks to Rebecca and Johanna for the invitation to produce a vocal response to Stolen Voices book chapter Necessary Notes.

More info about the event at  CCA Stolen Voices.

Rough Breathing clip Tectonics

Rough Breathing  is a collaboration with Nichola Scrutton (voice) and Alex South (clarinet). This sound clip is from the first movement of our Rough Breathing performance at Tectonics Glasgow 2019 in The Old Fruitmarket, which includes electronics. (The second movement was acoustic only).

Many thanks to BBC Radio 3  for the permission to use this clip from the BBC’s live recording of the event.  Listen here until April 2020.

Many thanks to Alasdair Campbell, AC Projects, CCA Glasgow and all at Tectonics Glasgow 2019 for supporting Rough Breathing.

My reflections will focus on how Night Vision moves forward. If time allows, I will also continue working on a series of visual images that emerged from the source texts as a separate thread.
