Nichola Scrutton is an award-winning composer/sound artist, vocalist and artist. Nichola has extensive experience as a collaborator in interdisciplinary and participatory contexts, and strong project management skills. Nichola was awarded a practice-based PhD from University of Glasgow, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. She worked as a Teaching Fellow in Music at Glasgow for two years post-PhD before going full-time self-employed. Projects in 2023 includes producing body-of-work Night Vision; a solo release Interzone on Nonclassical label; and new collaborative work with Zoë Strachan, Lying Over Under Another produced with a Second Life Award from The Edwin Morgan Trust.
